If you’re a RANZ member, chances are you already know Colleen Waters. Often the first point of contact for members, Colleen has been a constant presence behind the scenes of the Association — and in 2025, she reached an impressive milestone: 20 years with the Roofing Association of New Zealand.

Over two decades, Colleen has developed an unrivalled understanding of the Association, its members, and the wider roofing industry. She knows the history, the personalities, the challenges, and the progress — along with more than a little of the industry “gossip” that only comes from years of close involvement. That depth of knowledge has helped shape the way RANZ operates and supports its members today.

Colleen’s role has evolved alongside the Association. From managing day-to-day administration to supporting events, membership, governance processes, and countless member queries, her steady approach and attention to detail have provided continuity through periods of growth and change. For many members, Colleen is the reassuring voice or familiar name that makes dealing with the Association straightforward and personal.

Beyond the practical side of her role, Colleen brings professionalism, consistency, and genuine care to everything she does. Her long-standing relationships across the industry are a reflection of the trust she has built over time and the respect she commands within the RANZ community.
