Bringing the industry together at our annual RANZ Conference.
The RANZ Roofing Industry Conference is the Association’s flagship annual event, bringing together roofing contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and industry partners from across New Zealand. The Conference provides a dedicated forum for the industry to come together, step back from day-to-day operations, and focus on the challenges and opportunities shaping roofing in Aotearoa.
The Conference programme typically includes technical workshops, industry updates, and sessions focused on business performance, leadership and wellbeing, designed to support roofing businesses at all stages. The programme is complemented by an industry trade show, where associate members and partners share products, systems and services relevant to the roofing sector, providing practical insight and opportunities for discussion alongside formal sessions.
For members, the Conference also incorporates the RANZ Annual General Meeting, providing an opportunity to engage in the governance and ongoing direction of the Association.

Celebrating our industry with the RANZ Awards.
The RANZ Awards celebrate outstanding workmanship, professionalism and contribution across the roofing industry. Presented as part of the RANZ Conference programme, the awards recognise excellence across residential and commercial roofing, as well as commitment to training and skills development.
Key awards include Residential Roof of the Year, Commercial Roof of the Year (now awarded in two size categories, Light Commercial and Large Scale Commercial),Roofing Trainee of the Year, and Training Company of the Year.
In addition to these annual awards, RANZ presents the Roofing Excellence Award on a biennial basis. This prestigious award recognises an individual or company that has made an outstanding and sustained contribution to the roofing industry in New Zealand.
RANZ also recognises Service to Industry, acknowledging individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and service to the roofing industry over time. These awards reflect the values of professionalism, integrity, and commitment that underpin RANZ membership.
Connecting across the country at RANZ Regional Events.
RANZ regional events provide opportunities for the Association’s CEO and Executive Committee to connect directly with members around the country. These events are held in various locations and are designed to keep members informed about key industry developments and the work RANZ is doing on their behalf.
Regional events also create space for discussion around local issues, emerging challenges, and opportunities within the roofing sector.
